N C holds its Annual Meeting
The Neighborhood Council of St. Augustine met on Sunday, January 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for their Annual Meeting. Val Day, the Delegate from Flagler Model Land, hosted the meeting at her home at 19 Saragossa. All Neighborhood Associations, except Lighthouse Park, had a Delegate at the meeting. After the approval of the September 30 minutes, Jeanette Berk, our treasurer gave the annual report and reminded everyone that annual dues were now due for 2019. The Present Board was unanimously re-elected for 2019. Melinda Rakoncay will continue as President, with Judith Seraphin as Vice President; Kathy Schirmacher as Secretary; and Jeanette Berk as Treasurer.
Our guest speaker was Amy Skinner, Deputy Director for the City Planning and Building Department, briefed us the update to the City Comprehensive Plan, and the area meetings throughout the City between now and April. She wanted to be sure that St. Augustine residents were involved in the update to the Comp Plan and asked that the Neighborhood Council inform their associations of the upcoming workshops.
All the Neighborhood Associations gave updates on what had been happening in their neighborhoods. We agreed that our next Quarterly Meeting would be on April 7 at 3:00 pm at Jeanette Berk’s home. The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 pm.
